How to check oil level in your Royal Enfield

Oil is an important thing in internal combustion engine. It lubricates all moving internal parts of the engine and protect against wear and tear caused by friction. Apart from this it also helps to cool the engine.

How to check the oil level

It is best practice to check the oil level on every day morning before take it into the ride. Place the vehicle in to the main stand on level ground. Start the engine, please don't race the engine too hard, it will harm the engine, after two  minutes it will stay on smooth idle. Till it warming check the working of all other electrical parts like horn, light, battery charging etc.

For All model except the Himalayan

Once it warm up then switch off the engine and check the inspection glass window located RH side of your motorcycle. There are two marks clearly indicates "LOW" and "HIGH". The oil level should be between these two lines.

For Himalayan after warm up take out from main stand, hold the vehicle on straight line and check the oil level in the inspection window. To keep the motorcycle straight you can just press the main stand into the level ground it will help to maintain the motorcycle in straight line.
