This is not new that Royal Enfield is developing the new Parallel Twin Cylinder Motorcycle in the recent time, many spy pictures available on net. But till date Royal Enfield was tight lipped about the product, Recently Mr. Sidarth Lal, CEO of Royal Enfield given statement the new product bill be highway worthy.

Basically this new motorcycle was from Royal Enfield Interceptor family, Interceptor was introduced in the year of 1960 and Parallel twin engine derived from their 692cc Constellation model,and it was produced till 1970. The capacity of the Engine was beefed up to 750cc on 1962. During that period it was one of the smoothest 750cc motorbike because center crankshaft bearing adopted on this model.

One interesting fact about this twin cylinder motorcycle was it sold under the badge of Indian Chief at USA and Canada, In 1951 Indian Chief stopped the production of its 1300cc Motorcycle, that time Royal Enfield sold under Indian badge, later while the RE Lost bid they beefed up the engine and stated to sell Intreceptor 750cc to US and Canada.
